Fire walking?!

Some people can do it, like these brave villagers from Ag. Eleni, Greece. They perform fire walking every year on the days of St Constantine and St Helen (21st and 23rd of May), while listening and dancing to specific music and getting themselves into state of spiritual ecstasy.

This enhanced CD contain live music recording from Anastenaria fire walking festival together with short video in the QuickTime movie format.

SAVAGE REPUBLIC - LIVE TREK 1985-1986 CD (Fundamental)

Even if recorded in poor quality this is one of the best live albums ever. Featuring 16 songs from 1985-1986 US tour, including some different versions of songs from previous LP's. Document in time, ultimate for any collection!

SAVAGE REPUBLIC - RECORDINGS FROM LIVE PERFORMANCE 1981-1983 double 10" (IP038/39)

The sixth IPR archive series release is a double 10" featuring 50 minutes of music and commentary from the first period of this unique band. Some very different versions of songs from Tragic Figures, along with several never recorded in the studio are interspersed with announcements, confrontations, and sounds of the venue to give an overall experience of having been there. Beautiful five-colour die-cut letterpress folder, in a numbered edition of 2250 copies.

SAVAGE REPUBLIC - TRAGIC FIGURES LP (IP004)

This is the first LP of SAVAGE REPUBLIC. The most experimental album with clearly expressed ideas for the future. Recorded from July 1981-March 1982 at Radio Tokyo, Venice, California, containing 11 songs. Offset edition LP.

SCENIC - ACQUATICA CD (IP055CD)

The second full-length from SCENIC is a sprawling epic travelogue inspired by oceans, deserts, other lands and civilizations. Over 60 minutes of all-instrumental wonder, including two eight-minute epics and incorporating numerous unusual instruments. Sit down and listen to "Acquatica" from beginning to end and you'll be taken on a journey you've never before imagined. Packaged in a beautiful DISCFOLIO with Digipak tray.

SCENIC - INCIDENT AT CIMA CD (IP050CD)

Stunning debut from IPR and SAVAGE REPUBLIC founder Bruce Licher's current band is an all-instrumental soundtrack for the remote East Mojave Desert. Also featuring James Brenner (formerly with SHIVA BURLESQUE), Brock Writz and guest several musicians, SCENIC capture the desolate beauty of the Mojave in an evocative aural journey. Packaged in an elaborate DISCFOLIO with fold-out photographic insert this first edition of 3500 numbered letterpress copies is not to be missed.

SCENIC - SAGE CD (IP054CD)

CD version of SCENIC single which was released between their first two albums and contains 2 tracks not available on either. "Sage" is a desert surf pop gem with an irresistible melody, while "Another Way" is built around a melodic ascending rhythm guitar which spirals around on itself while the other instruments build ever upward. Also contains the 3 tracks from SCENIC "The Kelso Run" 7"ep, all in a letterpress folder.

FOR AGAINST - IN THE MARSHES 10" (IP029)

The first release in IPR archive series features six songs recorded between their two LPs and not otherwise available. Dreamy, melodic, intense and definitely in the mood of 4.A.D. stuff. Numbered letterpress edition of 2500 copies in our special die-cut sleeve.

FOURWAYCROSS - ON THE OTHER HAND CD (Fundamental)

Released in 1989, this album contains material recorded from 1986 to 1989.14 songs featuring Beth Thompson on vocals & guitars. Sounds like AU PAIRS in their best days.

FOURWAYCROSS - PENDULUM 10"+7" (IP043/44)

The seventh IPR archive series release is a full 38 minutes spanning the length of this under-appreciated L.A. band. Featuring all previously-unreleased recordings, it begins with the early JOY DIVISION meets GANG OF FOUR workouts with Tom Dolan on guitars & vocals (sounding a lot like DECEPTION BAY on some tracks!) through their beautiful instrumentals and into the later period recordings with Beth Thompson (now of MEDICINE) on guitar and vocals. Recorded at Biff Sanders' (now of ETHYL MEATPLOW) Motiv studios between 1984-1989, this is a fine document of one of L.A.'s most interesting bands of the period. Numbered edition of 1500 copies in letterpress sleeve.

JEFFREY CLARK - SHEER GOLDEN HOOKS CD (IP053CD)

Solo debut from the former lead singer for SHIVA BURLESQUE, Jeffrey Clark has a unique poetic vision, and this is a collection of recordings from 1992-1995 which range from garagey, SCOTT WALKER-style pop gems with plenty of cellos & violins through to the somewhat psychedelic guitar-based songs of the mid-period, and ending with his current work of prose and stories set to improved music. Over 50 minutes of quality sounds contained herein, this is a wonderful introduction to a talented artist, packaged in a letterpress DISCFOLIO.

More beautiful noise pop from Arizona's best underground band. Four great new songs, including the track "Brief As Photographs", in a beautiful letterpress DISCFOLIO. Recommended for fans of 4.A.D. and Creation releases.

HALF STRING - ECLIPSE*OVAL*HUE CD (IP052CD)

Tempe, Arizona's HALF STRING have created some of the best beautiful noise guitar pop we've ever heard, and this 8-song CD, which compiles their two 7" releases plus 3 other wise unavailable tracks, is a gem. Sonic references here range from SLOWDIVE-style guitar washes to SARAH Records-style chimey pop, to early FACTORY RECORDS-style starkness. Lush chiming guitars, hauntingly beautiful melodies, and a powerful rhythm section combine to make a wonderful listening experience, all packaged in a gorgeous letterpress DISCFOLIO.

HALF STRING - A FASCINATION WITH HEIGHTS CD (IP057CD)

HALF STRING first full-length release includes some of their strongest material yet, with the beautiful harmonies of "Shell Life" to the harder edges of "The Apathy Parade" and "Backstroke" to lovely pop tunes as in the title track. This second release in the IPR archive series is a stunning collection of early demos and other recordings from this unique band. It includes five previously-unreleased songs and demo versions of some of their other early material. Perfect for anyone into the 4.A.D. or early FACTORY groups, this numbered edition of 1750 copies is packaged in a die cut letterpress sleeve. Beautiful and recommended!

First full-length finds TONE giving us more than 50 minutes of their multi-guitar song craft, exploring new riffs and layers of sound. TONE give special emphasis to mastering the ultimate big riff, with no silly vocals on top to screw up the listening experience. WOO - IT'S COSY INSIDE CD (IP028)

Second album from Wimbledon, England's WOO is a remarkable creation from the brothers Mark & Clive Ives. All instrumental mood music combining acoustic instruments, electronics, element of jazz and a shuffling rhythm into a unique blend of friendly tunes.
